Hidden Forest Cafe in Chiangmai – Fern Forest Cafe REVIEW

Continuing my Day 4 in Chiangmai. It seems like there are unlimited post to share as Chiangmai is really a lovely place with lots of beautiful places, restaurants and attractions to share. So today I would like to feature The Forest Cafe. We went there for our early breakfast before we head to the Chiangmai zoo. I browse lots of different special cafe for breakfast, if you have read my previous post of – Breakfast World , that’s the 2nd cafe/restaurant which I would highly recommend! Let’s see what make it such a special place to me!

The driver dropped us on the side road close to Ferm Forest Cafe, there is a huge green signage which I believe no one would miss. It’s almost like we are entering the secret garden of Alice in wonderland.

There’s a white vintage gate at the entrance, you can literally see the little white house at the end once you pass through this garden, I am so excited and happy when we arrived. The scenery is so fantasy and I think there shall be a white rabbit leading us to this breath taking cafe! (I might be over exaggerated but this is actually what I feel! haha)

As I said we came here for breakfast however they do offer lunch / dinner so don’t worry if you wish to come either in the afternoon or night.

In the Secret Garden

We passed through the beautiful garden in front of the little white house. A big tree in the center with a few round tables and also a little wood bridge with carp fishes swimming underneath. I felt the whole place was the most fantasy place that I have ever been.

Finally we arrived the entrance of the little white house, the cafe. It actually takes us only 1-2 minutes but I was so enjoyable the walkway from the gate to the house, it seems like taking me 5 mins from the gate! Anyways, this is the indoor or outdoor cafe, so if you decided to enjoy the sunshine in a perfect weather or if you might happen to have a rainy day, no worries the indoor still looks super nice and cozy. The whole interior was mainly in White and Blue, with gold chandelier in the ceiling. I love white and mainly it just makes you feel so relax without any reasons. There was a cake counter so you can have a peek of the cake if you would like to order. So what we order?

We decided the sit outdoor just don’t want to miss the great weather! We chose to sit under the Big tree!

The presentation was so nice! We ordered the Eggs in Pan – Baht 125 and French Toast with Bacon and Eggs with 2 coffees. It was so tasty and we decided to try their dessert as well. We then ordered the Crispy Banana Fritters with ice cream. It tasted really good!! I think it is not pricey but reasonable.

2nd Floor of the White House

While we almost finished our breakfast, I spent a bit time took some pictures around the restaurant, a man asked me if I would like to take pictures of the 2nd floor. I don’t even know it’s open to public of their 2nd floor. As at that moment, I guess there was a group having a private ceremony so I have kept quite not to bother them by taking more shots for my post. I guess they do open their 2nd floor for dinner or lunch.

The Cafe was opened since 2003, so it has been more than 10 years! The black & white photos told the story behind. It was so nice looking out from the window in the 2nd floor as well! So if you are deciding to find a fantasy place to enjoy your meal in Chiang Mai, this is definitely one in your list! Menu also attached below for reference
