Hidden Cozy Cafe in Bangkok – Fill in the Blank

I have loads of post don’t have a chance to translate and update here in my blog but Facebook! I can’t wait to share all these lovely places where I went in my recent Bangkok trip. So I picked this simple short one today and think you might be interest!

Usually when I travel I love to use my google map and explore interesting or nice looking cafes around my location. This one – Fill in the Blank is one of the hidden gem which I believe not many people know about it! However it is not close to the BTS station. It is located in Sukhumvit 61 and the nearest station is Ekkamai. What I did is to get off from the closet BTS station and take uber OR you can take uber directly from your location which should save your time! Anyways, let’s see how the cafe looks like!

This is my first post of Jeju Island, if you are not familiar where is Jeju Island? It is located at the south of Korea. It is a very peaceful island where I spent my holiday with my best friend to celebrate her birthday last week! A Day in Taketomi Island – Okinawa – PART 2

Continue from my previous post of Taketomi Island, so tonight I would like to introduce one of the most “MUST GO” activity in Taketomi Island (PART 2) – a ride on a buffalo cart experience!!  Let’s Go~

After we returned the bicycle and have a quick lunch at somewhere in the island. (I actually didn’t mark the place so apologise I’m not able to share haha) I ordered the cold Japanese noodle (picture below) and went quickly to the buffalo cart store. We have to be quick as we need to catch the ferry beck to Ishigaki Island. The buffalo cart rental store was just right next to the bicycle store.

A Day in Taketomi Island – Okinawa – PART 1

Hey! Have been silent for quite a while since I’m quite busy updating my facebook page recently! Of course I haven’t forget this page!! So let’s continue with the lovely island in Ishigaki – Okinawa. Follow on my previous post, we spent a few days in Ishigaki and decided to spend another day to the nearest island – Taketomi Island, it takes only approximately 15 mins from the port (グラスボート＆ヨット南西観光) In this passage, I will teach you how to depart from Ishigaki Island to Taketomi Island, also I will introduce 2 MUST GO spot!! So let’s GO!

Crystal Clear – Kabira Marine Bay

If you are planning your next trip to Ishigaki Island. This is where a MUST you have to go! A place where you can appreciate the coral reef and tropical fishes without getting wet. A bit introduction of the bay, it is a beautiful beach with soft nice sand. Not much things to do here other than take a boat trip but still it’s a place worth to go. This is going to be a short passage to guide you how to book the trip to the boat with glass bottom.

There is a lot of parking next to the Kabira Marine Bay. We parked our car close to the bay and exchanged the ticket that bought in advance through the web. I will show you the link later in the passage. The whole trip took only 30 minutes and it started from 09:00 – 17:00.

The A-4 Grade juicy steak in Ishigaki – Okinawa

Backdate from my last summer, it was my first time travelled to Ishigaki. If you have no idea where it is, it is one of the 8 main islands in the south of Okinawa. Surrounded by crystal clear turquoise color of water. In my next passage, I will introduce another island. Though not yet landed, the view from the plan was absolutely breath-taking! I was so excited to my first visit in this little Island.

A bit introduction of what Must Go / Must See in this little island, apart from the amazing beach and sunshine, one of a MUST EAT is the Ishigaki beef! So today, I would like to recommend one of the best restaurant I had tried last summer – SHIMA FrenchBar Sasaki Masaru (島フレンチバル佐々木勝) The name was a bit long!

WHERE to STAY in Chiangmai- 5 STAR DESIGN HOTEL – ART MAI

I haven’t share the hotel i stayed in my previous Chiangmai trip after i few post, so here you go! We chose to stay in ART MAI Nimman Hotel, as far as I know they opened only a couple of months. The hotel is very new! We got the offer from expedia around hk$600. I think that’s not pricey with such a 5 star hotel.

The location of the hotel is very convenience, it’s just a few blocks after the main street. The exterior was so cool and stylish decorated with different geometric lines.

When we made our check-in in the concierge, the staff brought us the lovely welcome drinks. The gradient purple and blue drinks looks so lovely! As we were a bit early to check in, so they have asked us take a seat and enjoy their welcome drinks. Also have tell us in advance the restaurant and facilities they have in the hotel.  That was so warm and sweet.While we’re waiting for our room to be ready, we spent our time to the gallery next to the concierge. There are different artwork of local artist nicely displayed in the gallery and if you love to buy it, you do can! I guess this is something what they mentioned where Arts meet Style!

When we were ready to get our keys, our room was in no.615 which is the Renaissance theme. There are different themes in each floor and were uniquely designed by Thai local designers. The room was simple but stylish. There was a easel in the room, I guess that’s part of the Renaissance theme. The ceiling and everywhere in the room was decorated in wooden strips and in a white look & feel. There was a black chandelier hanging above the table. I am not familiar with renaissance style but it looks really nice to me. The bathroom was big enough and have all the things you need. Also coffee, tea and 2 bottles of water are free.

We also enjoyed our breakfast in the hotel at lobby by the next morning. To be fair,  there wasn’t lots of choices and I think there’s room to improve in regards of the food. However they do have good service.

So if you don’t want to stay in the traditional lanna style teak wood hotel and would like to try something new, modern and stylish. I guess Art Mai should me one of your choice in the list.

BEST Restaurant for Solo Dining in Bangkok – The Dock Seafood Bar

Have been quite a while not having a new post. Anyways after a busy week,  would like to share some great food of my previous Bangkok trip in June. As I arrived before my husband because of my free redeem ticket of Asia miles!  So my first dinner was alone. I planned to have my dinner at the Dock located in Siam paragon super market – Gourmet market.  It is actually not a restaurant but a seafood bar. Thus it is a good idea if you have no partner to enjoy the dinner but yourself. Although it is only a bar however they do provide the freshness oysters and lobsters. Their oysters import from France, Tasmania and Japan.So you are like tasting the oysters around the world in this little bar!

The Food

I ordered the oyster set and come with a little glass of champagne also a lobster pasta.  The lobster was so fresh as they were kept in tank and still alive before they picked and cooked! Price was reasonable and with only 12 seats around the bar table. So if you plan to enjoy the seafood with a group of friends then it might not be a good idea to go but a great location if you are enjoy with 2 or alone.
